Emergency Financial Assistance
West Valley Community Services offers one-time financial assistance to prevent evictions and utility cutoffs, address transportation needs, provide clothing vouchers, and support other basic needs.
Financial Workshops & Education
West Valley Community Services offers free financial workshops on setting a budget, establishing spending and savings priorities, avoiding predatory lenders, and making sound financial decisions for the future. We also offer free tax assistance through the VITA program.
Financial Empowerment Program
The Financial Empowerment Program helps families develop financial literacy skills in order to build their own safety-net and move towards self-sufficiency. Participants work one-on-one with a case manager and volunteer financial coach to set long term goals and develop new personal financial management habits.
Throughout the year West Valley Community Services partners with donors, volunteers, and local organizations to help individuals and families in crisis celebrate events and the holidays. Our annual special programs include:
Thanksgiving Food Baskets
Birthday Cakes (in partnership with Cakes4Kids)
Back to School Clothing Program & Backpacks
Holiday Gift Program
Summer Camp Vouchers
Clients are invited to attend various free workshops on budgeting, credit, counseling services, legal consultation, resume assistance, mindfulness exercise, cooking, and high school engagement. Job, health, and resource fairs are also offered and are open to the public.
