What is Gift of Hope?

Gift of Hope is an annual event serving families who might not otherwise have the opportunity to gather and create joyful holiday memories. The event provides food, entertainment, activities, and gifts in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
 

When is it?
This event will be held in person on December 5th, 2026. Clients must have registered prior to the event.  ​

When to Register

Registration takes place in person at the West Valley Community Services office starting Thursday, October 1, 2026.

In-person registration is available only during these times:

Tuesdays: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Wednesdays: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Thursdays: 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Eligibility Requirements

• Service Area: Must live in one of the following zip codes: 95014, 95030, 95032, 95033, 95070, 95129, or 95130. (If outside these zip codes, please refer to the EAN network.)

• Client Certification: Must be a certified client before or at the time of registration.

Certification & Recertification Instructions

• Active Clients: If your certification is past due or will expire before December 5th, 2026, schedule a recertification appointment with Kendall Palmer at 408-471-2474 or kendallp@wvcommunityservices.org before October 1st.

• New Clients: Must schedule an appointment with a case manager through the front desk. If you are a new market client unable to get an appointment before October 28th, email specialprograms@wvcommunityservices.org.

• Required Documents for Recertification (Appointments Only):

  • Valid ID for all adult family members

  • Proof of income (paystubs or benefit letters; if you do not have a paystub, please see a case manager)

  • Most recent PG&E bill (issued within the last 30 days)

Do I have to pay?
No. This event is free and funded through our generous donors.
