Volunteer Overview
West Valley Community Services incorporates over 125 volunteers on a weekly basis to help ensure that services and programs are provided efficiently and consistently to clients and the community. Over 500 volunteers help with various programs on an annual basis, each one donating time and effort to supporting those in need in the community.
On an annual basis our volunteers:
• Contribute over 16,000 volunteer hours;
• Assist over 4,000 clients; and
• Assist with distribution of over 400,000 pounds of food annually.
If you're an individual...
The first step in the process is attending a volunteer orientation. No appointments are needed to come to the orientation. At orientation you will fill out a volunteer application that will help us schedule a shift with you. Unfortunately, we do not accept walk-in volunteers.
Orientation Schedule:
1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:00 PM
2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 10:00 AM
Volunteer orientations are held at the WVCS office.
If you have a group...
We have plenty of ways your group can help! You’ll need to contact the Volunteer Office to start the process. Please keep in mind that we can accommodate groups no larger than 10 people without special planning and we require chaperones for youth groups.
For more information, contact the volunteer office at (408) 255-8033 ext. 303 or email volunteer@wvcommunityservices.org.
