Rotating Shelter Our Rotating Shelter Program, in collaboration with 11 churches and one synagogue, provides shelter, food, transportation, job search apparel, and case management to homeless men. The shelter rotates from church to church on a monthly basis. Homeless men who are drug and alcohol free are invited to stay for a maximum of 90 days. The Rotating Shelter offers a safety net where guests can have a place to stay while they look for employment, permanent housing, or build up a cash reserve.
Transitional Housing
Our Transitional Housing Program owns and operates a housing complex for working homeless men, and homeless women with children. This very-low-income housing serves successful graduates of the shelter program and other qualified candidates referred from other community agencies. Tenants receive budgeting assistance case management and assistance to secure permanent housing.
Below Market Rate Rentals
We administer the Below Market Rate (commonly known as BMR) rental program for the City of Cupertino. Low-income clients can apply for placement on the waiting list for BMR apartments in Cupertino. Priorities are given to people who work and live in Cupertino. BMR tenants must re-qualify on an annual basis. WVCS also owns and manages Vista Village, 24 units of affordable rental housing on Vista Drive.
All BMR Rental applicants MUST sign up for a BMR Rental Orientation in order to receive the BMR Rental application.
Below Market Rate Sales
WVCS also screen prospective buyers for homes to be sold at below-market rate. This program enables medium and moderate income families to purchase quality housing at below-market rates in Cupertino. Submit the following information to WVCS to be added to the availability notification list. Please fill in all the requested questions below to ensure that your contact information is complete so that it can be placed on the notification mailing list.
